Challenged and Inspired by Missionary Gilbert Anger, preaching at my church's mission conference this year.
I appreciate brother Anger's heart on missions and souls. How easy it is to loose focus on what we are living for and how much time we've been given to either make an impact or live only for ourselves. May I never forget the unloved and the unsaved in this darkening and hopeless world. May I focus only on Christ at the finish line to get me through with His joy.
I decided I wanted the kids (and myself) to study Hudson Taylor from the Christian Heroes: Then & Now series. I couldn't find any unit studies to supplement the book, so I decided to create my own, which I will customize for each missionary we study throughout the year. The kids have already finished Brother Andrew: God's Secret Agent, which they appreciated reading.
Enjoy using the file for your personal use. I printed mine as a double sided booklet with the binding set on top... I'm looking forward to filling it out!
Vision Board Printable Sticker Sheet & Paper Freebie
The kids and I started off another year of learning with a vision board. The aim was to get my kids to think about what motivates and inspires them, what they want to see more of and think about their goals and desires. I'm hoping the boards will serve as a visual reminder in their bedroom so they don't loose focus throughout the year. To help get them started, I created a background and sticker sheet and I've decided to make it available on my blog for you too. The prompts you see in the sticker sheet are suggestions, you don't have to cover all of my suggestions, just what jumps out at you. Here's my digital version below, it's kind of minimalist compared to the majority of boards I've seen around and the style itself is actually something I want more of in my home. I added things that made me feel good, what I've been challenged on lately, goals and favorite quotes.
There are no rules to creating your vision boards, I think the key is to create something that makes you feel positive. You can see in my sons version below, he choose not to make his board image heavy. However, my daughter loves every opportunity to cut and embellish! I think what they've created will grace their walls nicely.
